MDP Summer Internship Spotlight–Ms. Zayas

1. Tell us about yourself?
   Hello, my name is Leslie Zayas. I have a special interest in animals and I regularly volunteer at animal shelters. I am extremely passionate about animals and I plan on being a veterinarian in the future.
2. What was your experience like with the MDP Internship Program?
   Interning with Mission Driven Purpose was a stimulating experience. I worked diligently in learning the inner workings of the nonprofit enterprise; I worked on the organization’s major summer humanitarian project and I gained invaluable experience with the organization’s donor program
3. What did you enjoy the most about your internship?
   I enjoyed meeting the people in my internship cohort. I also found the Lunch & Learn program to be quite insightful; I gained invaluable information on mental health, networking, productivity, and career management.
4. How has your work with MDP impacted your future?
   My internship work with MDP has robustly impacted my future path as a veterinarian. The values embedded into me at Mission Driven Purpose are values that will propel me further as I seek to be an impactful veterinarian.
