MDP 2021 ANNUAL REPORT

MDP 2021 Annual Report

MDP 2021 Annual Report

It was Martin L King Jr. who said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” This question sits at the epicenter of Mission Driven Purpose (MDP), and in 2021 this is how we answered it.

At the dawn of the year, we supported The Living With Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church in Techiman, Ghana with funds to continue with the construction of their church building. This is one of the congregations that we opened. From there, we turned our attention towards

empowerment by recruiting our first interns. For six weeks, we gave them a broad range of work experiences and hosted life readiness workshops to prepare them for the real world.

Towards the end of the summer, the world beheld a seismic earthquake ravaging Haiti. Within a matter of days after the earthquake, we appealed to the public for funds to send them 200 first aid kits. 271 kits were raised, and through our partners were delivered to those in need.

In the most impoverished school district of a town called Kumawu in Ghana, 370 students received the surprise of their lives. Our MDP Ghana Branch visited these students and left them with 1,770 school supplies. This included notebooks, pencils, sharpeners, crayons, pens, erasers, and more.

Shortly thereafter, through a partnership with Visionary Central, we provided aid to those in impoverished areas seeking to start businesses to improve their lives. To empower the public, during the Fall we led a riveting two-week financial campaign that featured several short videos of people giving salivating vignettes of financial wisdom. Many were blessed!

Due to Covid-19, instead of an international impact trip, MDP engaged in its 1,000 touches

campaign yet again. From a pool of $2,000, MDP gave money to people so that in turn they can do something for others. Children were fed, college applications were paid for, people received sewing machines, babies received diapers and more. In all 1,096 lives were touched, and

counting.

We thank our engaged board, hardworking staff, and you, our loyal donors for making this possible. As we look forward to uplifting humanity in 2022 we ask that you partner with us again to answer that persistent and urgent question, “what are you doing for others?” To partner with us financially, you can donate via our website: missiondrivenpurpose.com, Cash App:
